TIGERS FALL TO IRISH IN SEMI'S


Another tight game for Dundy County Stratton in the Boy's NSAA Class D1 State Tournament as the #5 seeded Tigers took on #1 seeded North Platte St. Pat's. The Tigers fell in this semifinal matchup 43-40.


In the first quarter, the Irish were tough on defense as they led 10-7 after one quarter. In the second stanza, DCS came to life on offense as they were able to pour in 14 points and led 21-20 going to the half.


In the third quarter, it was similar to the first period where the Irish were so tough on defense and had their offense playing well as they went to the fourth quarter up 35-30.


In the final quarter, DCS made a run at the Irish but could not complete the comeback.


Alex Englot had a nice game with 20 points on 8-12 shooting. Jackson Kerchal had six points and nine rebounds. The Tigers will play #2 seeded Maywood-Hayes Center on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. from Lincoln Southeast High School.


The Irish will play at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday versus Johnson-Johnson Brock for the title game from PBA.
